Knowledge Objectives: Understand the classification methods and common standards for pressure vessels; master the basic composition, common materials, and basic requirements of pressure vessels. Be able to analyze the radius of curvature of common vessel shells, determine calculation parameters for thin-walled vessels, and perform simple calculations. Correctly analyze the causes of instability in externally pressurized vessels and be able to propose preventive measures. Ability objective: Be able to correctly select the structural type of the end cap, choose appropriate flanges and supports as needed, and perform marking ; It is possible to select the most appropriate safety accessories, determine the testing methods for the strength of pressure vessels, and establish the corresponding test pressures. A pressure vessel is a type of pressure-bearing equipment that operates under various environmental and medium conditions; in the event of an accident, its destructive effects can be severe. Therefore, there are certain requirements regarding the structure of pressure vessels, the materials used in their construction, as well as the standards to be followed in their design and manufacturing. This section provides an introduction to these aspects. Section 1: Overview There are a wide variety of pressure vessels in different forms, such as heat exchangers, towers, reactors, and storage tanks. However, their basic structure consists of a closed shell, which is typically made up of an outer vessel shell and internal components. The container shell can also be in the form of a cylindrical tube, a spherical shell, an elliptical shell, etc ; End caps include spherical end caps, elliptical end caps, disc end caps, hemispherical end caps, conical end caps, and flat plates. Together with flanges, supports, nozzles, sealing elements, safety accessories, etc., they constitute a complete piece of equipment, as shown in Figure 1-1. The following provides a brief introduction to the basic structure of pressure vessels, with reference to this diagram.
