In our plant, an online ultrasonic flow meter is located after a control valve, and the straight pipe section available is insufficient; what impact will this have on the flow rate?
It will definitely be affected, at least the top ten, and maybe the bottom five as well.
The turbulence generated in the fluid after throttling does not fully dissipate, affecting the accuracy of instrument measurements.
Of course it has an impact; in that case, the fluid will be disturbed.
It affects accuracy; it should be installed in front of the control valve.
If it does not meet the installation requirements, it will definitely have an impact; as for the extent of that impact, it can only be determined after calibration.
