Our company currently uses carbon steel as the packing material for its high-pressure plunger liquid ammonia pumps; we would like to switch to ammonium carbonate as the sealing fluid Is it feasible? If any manufacturers are using it currently, please advise

By changing the material of the plunger, it’s possible to use ammonium carbonate solution. In my pump, the packing is made of carbon fiber and the guide sleeve is made of graphite; however, the service life of the packing box is 3–5 years. The corrosion is very severe
