If it is SN, the answer is: The SN on the device is a serial number for large-scale equipment; this number is unique to that device among similar devices in the factory. This number is required when registering fixed assets. For example: if you purchase several instruments or devices of the same model at once, they may seem identical, but if you check their SN numbers, each instrument will have its own unique SN number, with no duplicates. This number is on the nameplate of the instrument or equipment and is present from the time of manufacture.
