What is the principle behind naphthalene extraction in the benzene removal tower, and how should it be controlled? Thank you
To reduce the naphthalene content in the washing oil, three bubble trays are generally installed at the upper part of the benzene removal tower for the side-line extraction of naphthalene; the naphthalene oil flows into a naphthalene collection tank, from where it is extracted using steam and sent to the tar tank in the cooling drum.

In some cases, naphthalene oil is pumped to the cold drum section; how can steam be used to push naphthalene oil there?
Our plant is designed to use steam to pump the material into the cold drum tar tank, but there has been no naphthalene since it started operating. Steam should be introduced into the naphthalene tank so as to transport the naphthalene oil under steam pressure.
