I would like to ask everyone: In lead smelting using blast furnaces, the feed materials are quite diverse and contain lead materials with a high chlorine content; as a result, the direct yield of lead is not high. What is the best way to remove chlorine?
Reply to 1# sanyuandou0: I’ve encountered similar problems as well; lead chloride is prone to volatilization, and it can also cause caking of the filter bags.
The reason is likely due to the volatility of PbCl2; therefore, it must first be converted into lead carbonate via wet methods
How to convert it? Should it be ammonium carbonate or ammonium bicarbonate? What technical conditions need to be controlled?
I am currently conducting experiments on the dechlorination of ammonium carbonate; the raw material contains 3.9% chlorine, and after the process it still contains 2.0% chlorine – the results are not very good
