Is there such a thing as industrial purity? What is the approximate purity? What purity level does that correspond to?
This question is too vague! The chemicals used in laboratories are available in industrial grade and analytical grade. The issue is that the purity requirements vary for different chemicals; higher grades may require 3 to 4 nines or even more, such as solvents used for chromatography and spectroscopic analysis, while lower grades might only need 30% or 40% purity. It can only be said that the requirements for analytically pure material are higher than those for industrially pure material. You can go check at the school’s pharmacy, hehe
