Many parts are riveted to the company’s vehicle frames, and almost all of them have rusted by the time three months have passed since the vehicle was assembled. We have carried out electrophoretic treatment and painting on these cast parts, but in most cases they still do not meet the standard requirements of 120 hours of salt spray testing. Is there any effective way to improve the overall corrosion resistance of these cast parts?
Dacromet or something like that should work. If the workpiece can be descaled by sandblasting, applying two layers of inorganic zinc-rich coating will definitely prevent rusting.
