The steam flow rate can be determined by observing the venting condition of the steam trap in the heat tracing pipeline; continuous venting from the trap indicates an excessive steam flow rate, while no venting for an extended period suggests a too low steam flow rate. So what should be the appropriate interval between ventings from the trap?

I’m not sure why the original poster asked this; in fact, it doesn’t matter how much time passes, as long as the strainer is functioning properly
