There should be no special requirements for selecting pipes based on the chemical properties of methanol; is that the case in practice?
I think so; we use carbon steel here
Crude methanol contains trace amounts of acidic substances and is slightly corrosive, while high-quality purified methanol has almost no corrosive properties; therefore, there are no strict requirements regarding the material used.
