I have roughly summarized and classified the principles and classifications of material levels as follows for reference by friends. (The level is limited and there are mistakes, please give me some advice!) 1. Direct-reading type: This type of instrument mainly includes glass tube level gauges, glass plate level gauges, etc. They work on the principle of connecting devices. 2. Differential pressure type: can be divided into pressure type level instruments and differential pressure type level instruments. They work based on the principle of pressure. 3. Buoyancy type: It can be divided into floats with wire ropes or steel belts, floats with levers and sinking drum types. They work by using the principle that the height of the float changes with the change of the liquid level or the buoyancy force of the liquid on the float (sinking drum) immersed in the liquid changes with the height of the liquid level. 4. Electromagnetic type: It can be divided into resistive type, capacitive type and inductive type. They convert changes in material level into changes in some electrical quantities, and measure the material level by measuring changes in these electrical quantities. 5. Nuclear radiation type: It works by using the principle that when nuclear radiation penetrates the material, its intensity changes with the thickness of the material layer. 6. Acoustic type: It is due to changes in the material level that cause changes in the acoustic impedance, sound wave interruption and sound wave reflection distance. By measuring these changes, the material level can be measured. According to the principle, it is divided into sound wave interruption type, reflection type and damping type.
