I would like to ask everyone what the pressure difference in the lockhopper is like (our plant doesn’t use such a system; in our case, it’s the PID-controlled difference between the lockhopper pressure and the pressure in the gasifier.). Here, I want to know what the reading on the lockhopper pressure difference gauge is – that is, the difference between the pressure measured at the outlet of the syngas and the lockhopper pressure
The lockhopper pressure difference is exactly the difference you mentioned; its main function is to serve as a condition for activating the slag collection valve under program control. If the pressure difference is high, the slag collection valve and the inlet valve of the circulation pump must be shut down urgently as part of the lockhopper protection mechanism.
Is yours also calculated in this way? Isn’t there also a differential pressure gauge for the lock chamber? Our factory doesn’t use one, so I would like to ask those of you who are using it: what do your differential pressure gauges indicate?
Regarding differential pressure gauges, they also show the most accurate and stable readings in the slag collection state. The slag collection pressure is 150 KPa
This post was last edited by GSP on 2010-6-2 at 08:57. We didn’t use that method; the manual calculation gave a value of 0.137 megapascals. What would the value be when the system is just started up? Why is there a certain difference between the calculated taphole pressure difference and the reading on the pressure gauge? The calculated mixer pressure difference is the same as well. If the lock hopper pressure difference calculated from the operations used is considered, an experienced technician should be able to determine whether there is dust on the defoaming strip, or whether there is dust at the gas formation outlet, by using this pressure difference. The most difficult to determine are blockages in the downcomer and the slag outlet. Extension: Could some senior colleague shed light on how to distinguish between a clogged taphole and a descending tube?
For our two, one is measured by a direct pressure difference gauge, and the other is calculated. Under normal circumstances, the directly measured pressure difference is used to initiate the interlock procedure.
