Technical assistance: Adding lime milk as a flocculant

Regarding the steps involved in water purification, I’m wondering whether it’s possible to add lime milk and soda ash alongside the flocculant in order to reduce the water hardness I would appreciate the advice from those who are more experienced. Thank you!
I’ve never heard of it; in my opinion, using lime milk and soda ash to reduce water hardness is not a viable approach. Please forgive any mistakes.
