As the title suggests, in this situation, the feed of crude gasoline to the absorption stabilizer ensures that the dry gas meets the required standards, while the stabilized gasoline falls below the acceptable quality levels. Is it okay to do this?
It’s possible for a short period of time, but over an extended period, stable gasoline will carry large amounts of light hydrocarbons to the oil storage area, which can lead to pressure buildup in the storage tanks and cause them to crack, resulting in accidents.

It poses a high risk; the gasoline contains a high proportion of light components, and large tanks cannot handle it! Dry gas and liquid hydrocarbons will not meet the requirements either! The safe approach is to maintain the pressure – that’s fine! Gasoline and rich gas have both been removed!
The main concern is that the absorption tower absorbs some of the C2 components; the stripping tower lacks a heat source. Gasoline carries C2 compounds into the stabilizer, resulting in liquid hydrocarbons containing C2 components. Since the stabilizer also has no heat source, gasoline carries large amounts of liquid hydrogen out of the plant, posing a safety risk to downstream facilities. It is recommended to isolate this stream.
