There is a difference between molecular distillation and short-path distillation. The operating principle of a short-path distiller is similar to that of a high-performance thin-film evaporator; the main difference is that the steam chamber of a short-path distiller is equipped with an internal condenser, which significantly reduces the distance between the heating surface and the condensing surface, thereby lowering the pressure drop that needs to be maintained in the condensation channel.
