I’m sorry, but I’m rather slow to understand things. Although I’ve seen others install some reaction vessels and disassemble them, I’ve never really managed to figure out their working principles or detailed structure. I only know that there are things like an assembly, a moving ring, and a stationary ring, but I don’t quite understand the underlying principles. And what’s the purpose of that counter-threaded cap used for stirring? The first time I took this item to the repair shop to have it modified, I couldn’t even name it – it was embarrassing. I also still don’t quite understand what the small springs up there are for; what use can such tiny springs possibly have?
1 The seal between the static ring of the reaction vessel and its seat is what constitutes the vessel’s static seal; generally, elastic auxiliary sealing rings are used to prevent leaks. 2 The seal between the static ring seat of the reactor and the equipment is also the static seal of the reactor, and it can be sealed using ordinary gaskets. 3 The seal between the rotating ring of the reactor and the shaft (shaft sleeve) is also a relatively stationary seal, typically sealed using an O-ring. All three of the above locations are static seals, and measures can be taken to prevent leaks. 4 The relative rotational sealing between the static ring and the dynamic ring of the reaction kettle belongs to the category of dynamic sealing; it relies on a spring-loaded mechanism and the pressure of the medium for rotation. A suitable compressive force is generated at the contact surface (end face) between the stationary ring and the rotating ring, causing these two smooth, flat end faces to fit tightly together; a very thin layer of fluid is maintained between the end faces to achieve sealing.
