The amount of steam required to start up the four-in-one unit is related to the production scale of the nitric acid plant; the greater the production capacity, the more steam is needed for startup. With a well-designed four-in-one unit, up to 28 tons of steam (3.4 MPa, 330°C) can be used prior to oxidation and ammonia introduction for ignition
