This is a great question, but few people answer it; actually, I’ve asked it too. . . ~ ~ Let me give an example: Residual fluid coolers are prone to vibration, and the reason for this is that the temperature of the residual fluid is too high (the temperature of the fluid coming from the residual fluid pump is over 100 degrees). I’ve never really understood why the residual fluid pump is designed to be located in front of the cooler; logically, it would be better to place it behind the cooler, near the pump. When the fluid is cooled down suddenly, its volume shrinks sharply, which creates a vacuum in the pipe layer on the feed side, and this is what causes the vibration. The solution is simple – just adjust the opening of the water valve. Setting it to an appropriate opening will resolve the issue
Negative pressure in the atmospheric pressure tower is a problem that often occurs in distillation. When I encountered it, I thought it was due to insufficient steam at the bottom of the tower, but that wasn’t the case. Although there is indeed a factor related to steam, the main reason is a low load; the large amount of condensation occurring in the condenser at the top of the atmospheric pressure tower leads to negative pressure. Therefore, pay attention to this point.
