Why does a synthetic compressor surge! What causes it mainly!
Causes of compressor surge: 1. Failure of the anti-surge system, with automatic mode not activated or incorrect setting values. 2. The suction flow rate of the compressor is too low or the pressure is insufficient, such as a clogged inlet filter or failed inter-stage seals. 3. The gas exiting the compressor is blocked, such as system overpressure, a sudden drop in speed, or a malfunctioning outlet check valve. 4. Improper operation, such as too rapid pressure increase. 5. Changes in gas parameters that cause the operating conditions to enter the surge zone, such as changes in composition that reduce the molecular weight, excessively high inlet temperature, or failed inter-stage coolers.
