Sea friends: Did anyone go to the Expo on Saturday? The news said that the number of visitors exceeded 500,000 – what was that like? Those who went there can describe it, and those who didn’t can use their imagination.
I heard there are queues of at least 3 hours in front of each pavilion – doesn’t that drive people crazy in the scorching heat? How is it organized? Television and newspapers still think there aren’t enough people; they report on it extensively every day, wishing that the entire population of the country would move to Shanghai.
A colleague who went to the Expo came back and said it was well worth visiting; there were so many different buildings to see, allowing one to experience a foreign atmosphere without having to travel abroad (I heard there were also foreign snacks) as well as various cultural attractions. However, to enter some of the venues, one can only spend a few hours there. Moreover, it’s more convenient to go to Shanghai rather than traveling abroad – no need to cover travel costs or obtain a passport. I really want to go, but the thought of such a large crowd makes me worried.
Apart from the African Joint Pavilion, the Central and South American Joint Pavilion, and the Oceania Joint Pavilion, there are no other pavilions to see. I had intended to visit the Italian pavilion; I waited in line patiently for over two hours, but then an important person entered the pavilion and visitors were not allowed in for a long time. I could wait no longer, so I had no choice but to give up. So it is recommended that those who lack patience had better not go.
I remember last winter, when several male cats in the yard fought relentlessly over a single female cat. One more night passed, and around dawn, a shrill howl shattered my pleasant dreams. When I got up in the morning, a cat was dead. In this life-or-death reality, it makes one focus on living more than anything else. Boring people just go on repeating legends.
Normally I have to go to work, and on weekends there are so many people that all my time is spent in queues – it’s like a battle for survival
Go ahead, boost domestic demand and drive up GDP; otherwise, who would hold an expo?
My colleagues also say to take the kids to see it during the summer vacation. That’s the characteristic of the Chinese people.
