Our factory uses shell-and-tube reactors for gas-phase reactions. Could everyone please explain how gas-phase catalyst loading, unloading, and regeneration are carried out in your plants? What are the specific requirements regarding the order in which the catalyst is loaded in a tubular reactor?
1) First, install each tube support spring and check that there are no issues; 2) Load the catalyst one tube at a time, making sure to clearly mark the tubes that have been loaded and those that have not, in order to avoid missing any tubes or loading them repeatedly ; 3) If the catalyst is layered, fill it layer by layer; make sure to fill one layer of all the tubes first, and only proceed to the next layer after confirming that each tube is in order ; 4) The confirmation methods for each layer include the catalyst height, etc. 5) Markings can be made using small hats of different colors. 6) Fully automatic catalyst loaders are already available.

The catalyst is of course loaded manually, and the pressure difference should be measured after sealing.
