The grounding resistance tester must be a device designed to be explosion-proof; 2. Iron or steel files should not be used to clean the contact surfaces of the testing points; 3. Leather shoes with iron nails should not be worn; 4. No open flames or lighters should be brought along.
When we measure ground resistance in explosion-proof areas, we use ordinary testers; I’ve never seen a tester specifically designed for measuring ground resistance in explosion-proof environments. The meteorological bureau also uses ordinary testing instruments during its annual inspections. The impact should be minimal, right?
It’s better to be cautious; better to follow what the original poster suggested and prioritize safety!
The environment can be analyzed manually; if the conditions for working with fire are met, then testing can be carried out.

When testing in flammable and explosive areas, if explosion-proof equipment is not available, it is essential to ensure that the concentration of flammable and explosive gases does not reach critical levels; it is advisable to have an alarm installed on site.

There are strict rules in the chemical industrial zone: mobile phones and ignition sources (including lighters, matches, etc.) are not allowed, nor are synthetic fabric clothes or high-heeled shoes. Prevent fires.
