Our company has two types of piston compressors: First, an air compressor with four-stage outlet pressure; the discharge pressure is 3.74 Mpa (A). The cylinder diameter is 330 mm, and the thrust of the piston rod is 50 tons. Second, a nitrogen-hydrogen gas compressor with an inlet pressure of 2.95 MPa (A) and an outlet pressure of 6.6 MPa. The cylinder diameter is also 330 mm, and the thrust of the piston rod is 50 tons. Are the pistons, piston rods, air valves, piston rings, and support rings in these two cylinders identical? Can they be swapped? What is the difference between them, and how can we tell them apart? Please give your advice

The chances of it being the same should be very low, right? The compression ratios are different, and all the other parameters as well,,,
The pressures are definitely not the same, so they can’t be swapped

They cannot be interchanged; their pressures are different, so their parameters vary as well. Swapping them would cause problems. Spares and replacement parts should be stored separately, with their intended uses indicated.
With such a large pressure difference, it’s likely impossible to replace it; they may look the same on the surface, but the tolerance levels of their various components could differ!
