This post was last edited by hesonchang214 on 2010-6-3 09:38. How are the locations for waste discharge and bypass filtration determined in a recirculating water system? Where is the best place for waste discharge, and where is it better to install a side filter?
Waste water is discharged from the bottom of the tank; the bypass filter is usually installed at the return water main. If the pressure of the return water is insufficient, it is installed at the supply water main.
I also think bottom drainage is good. But has anyone installed the waste discharge at the return pipe? Is there anything wrong with the return pipe?
Our side filtration system is not connected to the circulating water pipes; it comes out of the cooling tower separately and then returns to the cooling tower
Reply to 2# rym19821020: In our facility, the bypass filter for the circulating water is installed on the return water stream. A branch pipe from the main return water pipe leads to the bypass filter before the water returns to the circulation tank. The flow rate through the bypass filter accounts for 10% of the total water flow; the filter is usually cleaned on a daily basis
Reply to 5# laotaitai: If the amount of water filtered on the side reaches 10% and it is sent directly back to the water tank, will this have an impact on the water temperature? What kind of filtration equipment do you use for your side filtration? Is the waste discharged at the bottom of the tank?
Is there any expert who can give professional advice on this? What is the appropriate location for setting up waste discharge outlets, and where is it not appropriate to place them?
