Hello everyone, I would like to ask whether the C4 stream coming out of the MTBE unit after etherification goes into the propane tank or into a separate tank When the unit is in operation, is there a single line that leads to the propane line, or is there a separate line leading to the tank area?
Reply to 1# yz-w: If your MTBE raw material comes from the gas fractionation process, then the C4 compound after washing goes into the liquefied gas tank. In the gas fractionation stage, propylene and propane have already been separated, so in MTBE only isobutylene remains; therefore, what comes out of MTBE can only go into the liquefied gas tank.
The liquefied gas used by LZ is probably pyrolyzed liquefied gas; it contains a high proportion of C4 compounds after etherification, and it is used directly in the filling area
Check if you need propane; if so, use a separate container, or it can be put in the same container if not needed. Our device feeds into the same tank
My setup puts it in the same tank; propane is not stored separately.

It is generally used to go to the liquefied gas tank for household use, but note that the vapor pressure of this liquefied gas is lower in winter.
1. The C4 fraction after etherification is already household liquefied gas; if a separate propane storage tank is installed, propane goes directly to that tank after being separated from propylene. 2. If the unit is only used to produce isobutylene, is the pressure in the MTBE system unsuitable for operation due to the presence of terpene components?
We will now go straight to the riser for reprocessing
The MTBE feed for our unit comes from the gas fraction; the C3 compounds have been separated, and the C4 compounds remaining after ether extraction, along with propane from the gas fraction, go into the same tank. The C4 after etherification goes to the catalytic riser reprocessing line, but it has never been used. Additionally, the C4 component in liquefied gas made from carbon-free tri-components is difficult to sell.
The raw material for our MTBE unit is mixed C4 from the bottom of Tower-1 in the gas fractionation unit; the C4 after reaction goes to the liquefied gas storage area as commercial liquefied gas. We are not purchasing propane at the moment, so there is a separate pipeline for propane leading to the liquefied gas storage area. They can enter the same ball tank.
