Design issues of heat exchangers

Our company’s synthesis unit features heat exchangers at the inlet and outlet; the gas exiting the tower enters from the floating head side and exits on the lower side, going on to the air cooler. The gas entering the tower enters at the upper part of the heat exchanger and exits at the upper part on the floating head side to enter the synthesis tower. Why does the gas entering the tower go in from above and out from above? Could you please explain? ? ?
No matter what method is used to create a schematic diagram, indicating the various media entering and exiting will help others understand it, making it easier to analyze the reasons behind the settings for entry and exit.
It depends on whether your medium flows in the shell side or the tube side. I agree with what was said above; it’s best to have diagrams to understand it
