May I ask: 1. Is there an expiration date for the basic course exams, or are they valid indefinitely – as long as you pass them? 2. How many subjects are there in the basic courses? It’s a day, right? Thank you so much!
The foundation exam is held over just one day; it’s like a comprehensive test, with around 14 subjects in total. Basically, courses in advanced mathematics, principles of chemical engineering, physical chemistry, and of course others as well. It’s a good idea to take the exam right after graduating from university. Over time, it will be forgotten. In principle, candidates for professional course exams must have worked as postgraduate researchers for 3 years. Undergraduates have worked for 5 years. As for the time limit issue, it’s not very clear.
I mean, is there an expiration date for the basic exam? Is it valid permanently?
Anyway, so far no deadline has been mentioned.
Reply to 3# slq: The results of the basic exam remain valid; as long as you pass it, that’s enough. There is no deadline.
Reply to 3# slq: How is passing calculated? Pass or fail? There are no requirements for each subject, right? For example, it’s okay if you’re not good at a certain subject, right? Thank you! How much is the registration fee?

Reply 6#: It’s sufficient to pass the exam; the registration fee in Tianjin is over a hundred yuan, and one must pass both the morning and afternoon sessions. Although the scope of the content is wide, the questions aren’t particularly difficult. Keep it up, original poster!
Reply to 8# dgx841201: Is there any certificate issued after passing the basic courses?
Reply to 9# guokui1998: There is a certificate of compliance, just one piece of paper
