I recently needed a batch of plastic-lined pipes, and the process conditions are for a service temperature of 70 or 80 degrees. I can’t choose between PO or PE. Many plastic lining factories say that the actual service temperatures of the two are the same. However, looking online, it seems that PO is 80 or 90 degrees, and PE is 50 or 60 degrees. Is there any Haiyou who has practical application experience? Can you give me some advice?
Our factory working conditions: Around 60 degrees, use steel-lined PO
Lined PTFE, PO pipes and pipe accessories fluoroplastic pipes, elbows, crosses, sight glasses, instrument joints, reducers, PTFE fluorine pipes (liquid pipes). 1. The sight glass is used to observe the flow rate and color changes of unit fluids in pipelines or equipment, and directly monitor chemical process flows. Its working temperature is ≤150°C, and its working pressure is ≤1.5Mpa. 2. PTFE chlorine pipe (liquid filling pipe) This product has inner and outer lining type, outer winding and inner lining type, and full PTFE type. It is recommended that the user check the inner diameter of the equipment or reaction feed branch pipe and the feed flow rate per unit time to determine the outer diameter and effective inner diameter of the liquid adding pipe. 3. Selection requirements for steel pipes and flanges lined with PTFE pipes and pipe fittings 1. Pipe use * * The standard does not meet the steel pipe. Due to process requirements, the effective diameter of the pipe in the lining is smaller than the nominal diameter of the steel pipe. The designer and user determine the diameter of the steel pipe after carrying out the necessary effective flow standards. 2. The flange can be made according to user needs such as HG, GB, JB, ANSI, JIS, BS, DIN, etc. * * The standard can be forged or determined by the contract. Due to the sealing surface processing technology, it is recommended to use plate flat welding flange or neck flat welding flange. The sealing surfaces are all flat sealing types. In order to facilitate pipeline installation, users can be provided with flat welding ring movable flanges. 4. Test, inspection and use scope of the PTFE lining layer 1. Pipes and pipe fittings are subjected to a hydraulic test at 1.5 times the design pressure. 2. After the hydraulic test of the PTFE lining layer, 100% integrity inspection is carried out, and the leakage point inspection method is an electric spark test. 3. Scope of use a. Use temperature -20~200℃ b. Use pressure ≤ 2.5Mpa c. The allowable negative pressure is -0.09Mpa for DN≤250mm and -0.08Mpa for DN>250mm. Roll-lined PE (PO) pipes and pipe fittings: 1. Imported high-performance raw materials and reasonable formulas are selected, and the internationally advanced hot rolling lining technology is used to hot-melt the plastic and steel matrix. The entire anti-corrosion lining has the following characteristics: a. No overlapping seams, impact resistance, aging resistance, positive and negative pressure resistance. The surface is smooth, and steel parts of any shape can be lined both internally and externally. b. Universal temperature: -60-100℃ c. General pressure: -0.07Mpa-2.5Mpa 2. Scope of application: It is widely used in chemical industry, electric power, smelting, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection, electroplating and other fields. In addition to more than 95% sulfuric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, various concentrations of inorganic acids, organic acids and alkali salts are very stable. It is an ideal anti-corrosion material to replace rubber, enamel, stainless steel, fiberglass, plastic plate (tube) and other linings within -20℃-100℃. Maintenance and precautions before use: 1. It is not allowed to be stored in the open air for a long time, avoid sunlight, rain, violent collision, and multi-layer stacking of heavy objects. 2. The sealing surface must not be scraped, cut, scratched, scratched or collided with hard objects. 3. It is absolutely not allowed to weld, wind cut, fire bake, etc. on the steel body of lined pipe fittings and accessories. They must be separated from the heat source by more than 1 meter. PO lined pipes are cheap because they are rolled lined, while PE lined pipes are tightly lined and the price is relatively high. Our company is here to serve you! Thanks!
PE should not be used. If the pressure is acceptable, it is recommended to use PP pipes, which will facilitate construction.
When PE is resistant to 60 degrees, it means full PE. If it is steel-lined PE, the temperature can withstand temperatures below 90 degrees.
