Traditional coking coals are bituminous coals, which can be roughly divided into gas coal, fat coal, coking-fat coal, lean-fat coal, and 1/3 coking coal. However, coking coal and fat coal, which are the main types of coal used for coking, have very limited reserves in China, and their distribution is highly uneven. However, China has very large reserves of anthracite, which are also distributed fairly evenly.
