Since the cost of oxygen production equipment is generally high, the investment cost for small and medium-sized enterprises is substantial. It has been found that atmospheric-pressure fixed-bed gas generators use oxygen-enriched oxidation to significantly increase the calorific value of the gas. However, the cost of oxygen production equipment amounts to several million dollars, accounting for at least 50% of the total cost. Please share any suggestions in this regard

When we were working on the 4030 project, we investigated oxygen-enriched gasification and conducted comparisons; the problem was that the energy consumption associated with air separation was too high, so we didn’t adopt that approach. Instead, we used fixed-bed reactors. However, oxygen-enriched gasification is much more environmentally friendly than fixed-bed reactors – our fixed-bed systems have a slightly worse environmental impact. But now we use continuous gasification, which results in a relatively better environmental profile
A continuous gasification environment is advantageous, but the calorific value of the gas is much lower. It’s acceptable if high requirements aren’t imposed on the calorific value; otherwise, rich-gas gasification or the use of other fuels must be considered
