Regarding real-time trend issues in DCS

Where are the real-time trend data stored in DCS? Please help, thanks! (Some people say it’s to periodically retrieve the current value from the database; I’m not sure if that’s correct.)
I have always thought that the instantaneous values are taken and used to create a trend chart
After data is archived in the real-time database, it is stored at a fixed file path on the server
The PKS system’s historical trend path is located on Drive C of the main server
Real-time data is also saved in real time in the server’s historical trends folder; from this perspective, real-time data is essentially real-time historical data. It is usually on the primary server, but since the primary and secondary servers are synchronized, the data before it is archived exists on both servers; however, once it is archived, it exists only on the primary server.
That’s right; real-time databases are generally stored on servers. However, some DCS systems don’t have separate servers – instead, the engineer stations serve as servers as well, haha
Historical data is stored in designated folders on the hard drives of servers or engineer stations. Given the large volume of data, it should be backed up regularly, and can be copied onto DVD discs for long-term storage.
