During the recent attempts to light the acidic burner, it had to be lit manually each time; as soon as the flame gun made contact with the burner nozzle, backfire occurred. It took repeated adjustments to the air supply before it was finally possible to get the burner to ignite. Does anyone else have any experience or tips in this regard?
Controlling the negative pressure in the furnace can prevent tempering.
We use electronic ignition; we have DUIKER ignition guns, and we have also used AMECO ones as well – they are quite convenient for programmed ignition.
Upstairs, do you find the electronic ignition to be useful? What problems do Duke’s ignition guns usually have? Tell me, I think lighting the stove is quite troublesome; there’s always water involved, and these days I have to change the gun as soon as it starts working!
Check whether the furnace pressure is too high and the exhaust path is blocked
Is the ignition gun not installed in the correct position? After lighting it for the first time, adjust the amounts of fuel gas and air; thereafter, use these same amounts for ignition.
The fuel gas, after being mixed with air, passes through a nozzle; the flow velocity through this nozzle must be higher than the flashback velocity. Therefore, there is a minimum air volume. The specific value of this minimum air volume depends on the nozzle diameter.
