What are the requirements to work in a design institute after graduating from undergraduate studies? I will graduate next year and would like to work in a chemical engineering design institute; I’m not sure what the requirements are. I hope those who are more experienced can give me some guidance!
If one doesn’t waste those 4 years in undergraduate studies, it’s generally not a problem to get a job at a design institute. Why is that? Because what we learn in university is only the basics, just the surface level. One has to learn on the job when entering a design institute, but we have a university education background, so there’s no problem. So does that mean everyone can join a design institute? Otherwise. It’s hard to say for smaller design firms due to issues such as staffing; it’s by no means easy to get into larger design firms. If a couple of basic conditions can be met, there might be some hope: 1. Excellent academic grades and a high ranking in the class; 2. An English proficiency level of at least Level 6; 3. A recommendation from the school; 4. Strong interpersonal skills
