Coarse filtration before the precision filter

Should the medium be roughly filtered before using a precision filter? How should the mesh sizes for rough filtering and precision filtering be chosen?
I don’t know what medium you intend to filter. If it’s for filtering air, I think a coarse filter should be used. Here are some parameters for your reference: Coarse filter, Class C – filtration accuracy of 3μm, residual oil content of 5PPm; Oil removal filter, Class T – filtration accuracy of 1μm, residual oil content of 1PPm; Precision filter, Class A – filtration accuracy of 0.01μm, residual oil content of 0.01PPm
It should be asked what type of medium is to be separated; if it’s to filter out solid impurities from oil, we use a 30-mesh stainless steel filter screen for the preliminary filtration. Anything over 0.5MM can be handled.
By performing a rough filtration of the medium, the service life of the precision filter can be extended. A rough filtration mesh size that is 0.7 times that of the precision filtration mesh size should be appropriate.
A coarse filter must definitely be installed; it can help reduce the load on the fine filter, thereby lowering the costs associated with the fine filter. The precision is at least 3 times that of precision filtration.
