After reviewing the feasibility report for FMTP, I feel there are many issues, and some of the figures are questionable.
The MTP industrial test unit of Sinopec Engineering Company has already started operating. I’ve only seen the CEO of Sinopec Engineering give a presentation, which mainly covered information about the company; the MTP topic was only briefly mentioned
The fluidized bed process used in the FMTP process depends on the service life of the catalyst; it requires frequent regeneration, and it’s uncertain whether it can withstand wear and tear.
The FMTP process uses SAPO 34 as a reaction catalyst and a gas-solid co-current downward-flowing fluidized bed short-contact reactor, which reduces the formation of by-product alkanes, lowers the complexity of subsequent separation processes, and increases the yield of low-carbon olefins
Does Sinopec Engineering Company have an MTP? ? It should be the FMTP project developed in collaboration between Sinochem Engineering and Tsinghua University.
