The oil cooler was checked and found to be in good condition; please help analyze the source of this water; The oil return flow rate at the outer ring of the high-pressure cylinder has increased significantly, to about 4-5 times the original level. Upon disassembly and inspection, it was found that the inner ring was intact; the babbitt layer on the inner diameter of the outer ring was damaged, and the shaft diameter at the junction with the inner ring was also damaged.
If there is water in the oil system, it is necessary to determine where the water is coming from, such as checking for leaks in the oil cooler or the steam turbine that drives it
Reply to 3# zhangya*ong: The oil cooler was checked and found to be in good condition. Water enters mainly through the seal gas, which is the gas at the end of the compressor. Recently, when the water injection nozzles were activated, the flow rate was high; the operator failed to drain the liquid in time, resulting in liquid being carried along with the seal gas. Shenmu designed water injection at the inlets of stages 1-5 of the compressor to clean the impellers.
It is recommended to conduct hydrostatic and airtightness tests on the oil cooler.
