Can a branch fitting be used for carbon monoxide pipes?

As the title suggests, can a branch fitting be used on a carbon monoxide pipeline? Why are some projects requiring the use of reducer tees and reducers to bring the dimensions up to standard? Can’t we simply make an opening in the main pipe and use a branch fitting instead?
It is best not to use branch fittings on carbon monoxide pipelines; instead, openings should be made directly on site. If reinforcement measures are inadequate, and given the danger associated with carbon monoxide, it becomes extremely unsafe, especially if the pipeline is under pressure.
The branch fitting is the best option for reinforcing branches, second only to reducing tees; CO pipes can certainly be used as well.
According to the second floor, does that mean all such hazardous materials should be handled in this way? Is it because fillet welds are not as good as butt welds? Is it still due to the inherent properties of carbon monoxide, such as its susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement like hydrogen?
