My question is: are there any differences between the automated quantitative loading systems for lower-mounted and upper-mounted dip pipes (referring to flow meters, pneumatic two-way valves, and static electricity oil spill protectors)? I look forward to experts’ guidance. Thank you!
Upper-mounted dip pipes generally come equipped with an anti-overflow switch; as for those installed in a lower position, it’s not certain whether an anti-overflow switch is needed – lower installations usually involve pressure tankers, which do not require such a switch. As for flow meters and pneumatic two-way valves (which may also include multi-stage ball valves or electro-hydraulic valves), the situation is the same. Anti-static devices are typically designed separately, along with an additional batch controller – this is basically the standard setup.
There is no difference between flow meters and pneumatic two-way valves; the electrostatic oil spill protector, however, is different. OPW manufacturers provide static oil spill protectors for both upper and lower components; you can inquire with the OPW manufacturer to find out the differences between these two types of products.

The flow meters and pneumatic two-way valves are the same; the static electricity oil spill protector is different! One pump I worked on had an upper unit and a lower unit.
