Hello, I would like to know how you reduce the inlet pressure.
It is a process adjustment; the specific method is unclear. It is said that it involves reducing the pressure of the reactor (gas source).
The outlet pressure will decrease, and the flow rate will reduce.
Does it have no impact on the compressor itself?
Reciprocating compressors have no minimum flow limit; reducing the inlet pressure has basically no effect on the compressor itself!
If the flow rate decreases while the outlet pressure remains constant, the temperature of the first-stage exhaust gas increases
The inlet pressure of a reciprocating compressor can be reduced, but if it is lowered too much, the following issues may occur: 1) vibration in the inlet pipeline, 2) the inlet filter being drawn into the compressor, which can cause damage to the suction valve. Load verification is necessary; as the inlet pressure decreases while the outlet backpressure remains constant, the compression ratio increases, which leads to an increase in the load on the piston rod. Calculations show that this load remains within the allowable range for the piston rod.
