When switching the oil filter, should the connection be closed after filling the oil, or after the switch is made?
Personally, I don’t think it has any impact.
It doesn’t matter much; it depends on your process. If pressure is a concern, it’s better to turn it off after switching.
There is a prerequisite for switching the oil filter, and that is to ensure there is no air in the spare filter. During switching, it is gradually opened at first while ensuring that the pressure does not drop.
Open the oil filling valve to fill the spare oil filter with oil, and at the same time open the exhaust valve to release air. Once oil is seen in the exhaust sight glass, close the exhaust valve, then close the oil filling valve, and switch the three-way valve to operate the spare filter.
