We use rotary kilns to produce secondary zinc oxide. The raw material is the dust collected during the refining of crude copper, which contains some arsenic. I would like to ask if the arsenic in this is arsenic oxide? When we produce zinc oxide again, will arsenic end up in the zinc oxide as well? I hope someone with TX can help me!
Arsenic oxide should be able to have some of it removed by dissolving it in hot water.
It should be arsenic trioxide, but zinc is not present there in the form of zinc oxide; it’s probably zinc sulfate. It can be recovered in the form of zinc sulfate.
Most of them will go in. May I ask if the original poster wants to remove arsenic from zinc oxide?

In zinc monoxide, the zinc is of course present in large excess as zinc oxide, while arsenic is present in the form of arsenic trioxide. To remove arsenic from this substance, one method is to use hot water for leaching; taking advantage of the high solubility of arsenic trioxide in hot aqueous solutions, it can be removed, resulting in a product of white arsenic (the market for white arsenic doesn’t seem very good) ; Furthermore, an oxidizing agent is added during the acid leaching of zinc suboxide to oxidize low-valent arsenic into high-valent arsenic, which then forms calcium arsenate precipitate together with the neutralizing agent, lime, thereby allowing it to be removed.

Are there any good measures for wastewater treatment?
If the raw material contains an extremely high level of As: over 5%, pre-treatment is recommended; this can be achieved through alkaline washing to remove As and Sb, with a removal rate of over 90%.
So how to remove As and Sb? I hope it can be explained in detail.
