I would like to ask everyone: is the arsenic removal agent used in FCC units or during crude oil processing?
Arsenides are toxic to many catalysts used in the synthesis of ammonia and in petrochemical processes. Due to the strong binding ability of arsenic with the active components of these catalysts, they can cause permanent poisoning in hydrogenation refining Co-Mo catalysts, nickel-based catalysts for hydrocarbon conversion, nickel-based methanation catalysts, iron-based catalysts for ammonia synthesis, pre-hydrogenation catalysts used in petrochemical processes, catalytic reforming catalysts, polypropylene catalysts, and gasoline hydrocracking catalysts.
Generally, the reforming feedstock needs to have arsenic removed, and only after meeting the catalyst tolerance standards can it be used for reforming.
