How much coal is needed per year for a 5-ton boiler? :victory:
About 1 ton of coal per hour; by knowing how many hours it is burned per day, it’s possible to calculate how much coal is burned in a year.
It is related to the steam temperature and pressure, as well as the calorific value of the coal. It is also connected to the type of boiler, and it involves the estimation of combustion efficiency; around 7,000 tons per year I guess
Calculated based on ordinary standard coal-fired boilers, operating 24 hours a day for 300 days per year, it would require approximately 5,820 tons of coal!
