Recently, several heat exchangers were designed, and the client requested the addition of sliding plates under the sliding saddles. What does a sliding plate look like? What structure? I’ve never seen it or come into contact with it; I’d appreciate your advice.:handshake
Reply to 2# you60: Is it the steel plate between the support and the foundation pad? Is the structure the same as the base plate of the support? A bit like a gasket?
In simple terms, it’s something made up of two smooth steel plates that form a sliding surface, allowing the pipeline to move sideways; this end surface must not be painted.

Is Appendix C of JB/T4712.1-2007 for saddle-type supports the one you refer to as a slide plate?
Reply to 6# jia717: I’m not sure either; I can’t recall the name. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, so it’s better to call the person who caused the accident and do as he says. Hehe
It has the same dimensions as the base plate; the bolt holes are drilled through to create a U-shaped shape, which facilitates installation and replacement.
The size can be the same as that of the saddle bottom plate, but if there are bolt holes, the length should be less than the distance between those bolt holes; the width can remain the same Embedded at the top of the foundation!
