Rubber skeleton process

I recently found a job, and the company has assigned me to work on rubber frames. Although my field of study is polymer materials and engineering, with a focus on rubber, I have no experience working with rubber frames or in this area at all; therefore, I don’t know much about it. I think there will be a lot for me to learn if I start working there. During the interview, I asked the head of the process department for some information about this position. He said that the main task in this role is to select the appropriate adhesives and metals based on the properties of rubber. However, I would like to know more about what exactly is involved in the skeleton manufacturing process, and what are the prospects for working in this field? Will it deviate from my intended path (I mainly want to work in the field of rubber formulation)? Thank you all for your advice
