Mixing two liquids

This post was last edited by burtgood on 2010-6-13 09:32. Water and ethanol are mixed using a mixer, and the density of the resulting mixture is known. Where should this density value be entered? In Properties, under Prop-Sets/PS-1 (New)/PHOMX, it is indicated that this refers to the density of the mixture. However, only options for units are available, with no field for entering numerical values. I’ve spent a long time trying to find it; I hope someone experienced can give me some guidance.
What should be considered the landlord? If the amounts of the two feed streams are unknown, it is not sufficient to know only the density of the mixture; additional parameters are needed. Are you trying to determine how the amounts of the two streams should be balanced?
How about doing a sensitivity analysis to give it a try?
