After the rust red color appeared, inspections revealed that the hydrochloric acid added to the electrolytic cell was of poor quality, with excessive levels of impurities. The purple color may be due to the coating on the individual cells, or it could result from prolonged membrane leakage that led to corrosion of the coating or accumulation of deposits from the cathode mesh, as well as an excess of hydroxide precipitates
Generally, when the membrane leaks, the anode tube turns white, as the alkali reacts with chlorine to form sodium hypochlorite
Pink might not be accurate; the outlet hoses I’ve seen turn red, a blood-red color. I’ve never seen it in purple; I guess it might be due to the coating on the Extreme Network surface having peeled off. Please have an expert conduct an inspection!
We’ve seen purple ones in our factory; after opening them, we found that the grid had been damaged and the membrane was punctured as well!
Pink might be the initial color; as time goes on, the color becomes darker, eventually turning into the blood red mentioned on the 4th floor. But what I saw was a red color that was a bit lighter than blood red
It turns pink; purple has indeed occurred, more so in forced-circulation electrolyzers. This is because the pressure difference control in such electrolyzers is higher, which leads to larger pinholes when the ion membrane leaks. Moreover, acid is not usually added in these systems, and when the ion membrane leaks, the catholyte will corrode the anode coating, causing the hose at the anode outlet to change color. At first, it turns pink, but if corrosion continues over time and the ion membrane is not replaced promptly, its color will change to purple.
