May I ask some expert who can advise me on the most suitable location to install the desorption pressure and stress measurement points? We need to prepare to change the location.
To ensure accurate and reliable pressure measurement, it is advisable to install it on the steam pipeline leading into the desorption tower. It is set here to ensure that the catheter at the pressure measurement point does not become clogged due to crystallization; the pressure here represents the highest pressure in the desorption tower, making it a useful reference point. Personal opinion, for reference only.
May I ask: What process is used in your desorption system? Our factory’s desorption system uses the desorption and hydrolysis processes designed by Stamicarbon. Our desorption tower is divided into upper and lower sections, with the pressure measurement point located at the top of the tower. On-site pressure gauges are installed at the bottoms of the upper and lower sections of the desorption tower. The operating pressure of the desorption tower is around 0.28 MPa. The hydrolysis tower is a vertical type, with the pressure measurement point located at its bottom; its operating pressure is around 2.0 MPa. Personal opinion, for reference only.
I think this is not appropriate; if automatic control is implemented at this measurement point using the valve at the top of the reflux condensate level tank, the high pressure at that measurement point can cause the valve to open too widely, resulting in a lower actual pressure in the distillation column and thus a reduced efficiency of the separation process. Operators may try to improve the operating conditions by adjusting the steam pressure, but this will only lead to greater confusion. Personally, I believe that analyzing the pressure at the point on the pipeline closest to the distillation column is the best way to accurately reflect the actual pressure in the distillation process, as this point is less affected by disturbances. Reply to 1# zj731603 :victory: To ensure accurate and reliable pressure measurement, it is installed near the desorption tower in the waste liquid discharge pipe at the bottom of the inlet desorption tower. It is set here to ensure that the catheter at the pressure measurement point does not become clogged due to crystallization; the pressure here is close to that inside the desorption tower, making it highly useful for reference.
