I took the basic exam for Certified Chemical Engineer last year at Design Institute A, and I passed it. This year I switched to Company B to work on process design; Company B does not have the necessary engineering qualifications and is not a design institute. I want to apply for a major this year; will my previous grades still count? For registration as a certified professional, the application must be approved by the employer, and payments are made in a unified manner. Can my current employer cover the exam fees for me?
You can register by yourself; it’s best to handle these matters on your own. Once you meet the required score threshold, a transcript will be issued, so it’s advisable to get one printed. As long as you have enough years of experience in your field, you can take the professional exams!
Academic performance certainly counts, but if A and B are not in the same province or city, a certificate of passing the basic exam must be obtained from the province or city where A is located. The exam fees are paid online by individuals; generally, the employer is only responsible for handling the confirmation process on site.
