Our company produces HNO3. Previously, raising the pressure in the system was achieved using piston-type chillers, which caused a lot of oil contamination and affected production. We are currently building a new facility, and we plan to use liquid ammonia pumps to increase the system pressure. I’m not sure about the quality and performance of liquid ammonia pumps in China; I’ve heard that it’s difficult to repair these pumps when they fail, especially regarding their seals. What is the actual situation? Please give some advice!
I wonder what the required pressure at the outlet of the liquid ammonia pump is for the poster? The seals for medium-pressure centrifugal liquid ammonia pumps made in China are already quite good, and the double-end spiral-groove dry gas seal technology is highly mature

As LZ mentioned regarding the pressure requirements, ordinary manufacturers of cryogenic liquid pumps are capable of producing such pumps. If the flow rate and suction cavitation margin meet the requirements, a centrifugal pump combined with a dry gas seal would be an excellent choice; it requires less maintenance. However, a low-pressure nitrogen supply of 0.7 Mpa is needed. If the flow rate is low, choosing a domestic reciprocating pump of a higher grade (there are many manufacturers available) is also a good option
